Antonio Conte and Chelsea travel to Anfield this weekend, to take on Liverpool in the Premier League’s biggest match-up on Saturday. Conte met the media a couple hours ago for his weekly news conference and a couple narratives from the session really jump out at you.
Eden Hazard sent a warning to Liverpool earlier in the week, saying that his side will be well rested and ready. Antonio Conte provided the latest injury and fitness updates on Friday. Also, Conte said that he would begin preparations for this match on the flight home from Azerbaijan after their resounding 4-0 win at Qarabag FK in UEFA Champions League midweek action.
It turns out that flight home had some drama, especially at the end.
Here’s the YouTube of the Antonio Conte session below:
Conte said earlier this week that Victor Moses would be available for this major clash, and today he told his news conference: “His condition is good. He needs a bit of time to recover the best form, but tomorrow he is in our squad. I want to bring him on the bench and then to decide if there is the necessity to put him in or not.”
“I am very happy because now he is fine, but he needs a bit of time to find the best physical condition.”

As for the flight, everybody aboard Chelsea’s plane received quite a scare as it couldn’t land at London’s Gatwick International Airport on the first attempt. Due to extremely windy conditions, they had to make a second approach in order to land.
“There was a lot of wind and we tried to land the first time, but it wasn’t possible for this reason,” Conte said.
“Then the captain tried again and the second time was positive. In these circumstances you feel a bit afraid, a bit scared, but the captain was very good,” he continued.
