Chelsea FC finally have their second signing, and first major deal of the summer transfer window now complete. (Willy Caballero was the first), It’s been a very long time coming, as their supporters are growing restless with the club’s lack of closing new deals this window. Defender Antonio Rudiger is on his way from AS Roma.
He told Chelsea’s official website: “It’s a great feeling because not every player has the opportunity to join a huge club like this.
“I am looking forward to meeting up with my new teammates and I’m very proud to officially become a Chelsea player.”
He has a video message to Chelsea supporters:

Antonio Rudiger heads to Stamford Bridge fresh off a Confederations Cup triumph with the German national team. With Rudiger now signed, sealed and delivered, and the Romelu Lukaku pursuit failing, what’s next on the Chelsea transfer front?
Why that would be the long wait for Tiemoue Bakayoko? Although Bakayoko has dropped some hints on social media that his move might not be too far off.
On the striker front, Chelsea seem to be looking at Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti.
