With John Terry departed, another defender, Gary Cahill, assumed the captaincy at Chelsea FC. It’s off to a disastrous start at Stamford Bridge as the Blues are currently losing to lower table side Burnley at home.
It’s a total collapse, as the Blues fell behind 3-0 before halftime, and it all began with Cahill getting sent off in the 14′ due to this challenge; viewable in GIF form below:

The absence of Gary Cahill means that Chelsea are now playing a man down, and it wasn’t long until really bad became totally catastrophic. The Blues, beginning their Premier League title defense at home versus a team that finished in the bottom five last season. Burnley have three goals, and Chelsea don’t even have a shot on target at halftime.
Who could have seen this coming? The Blues were rightfully booed by the home crowd at The Bridge.
Burnley have goals from Sam Vokes (24′, 43′) and Stephen Ward (39′)
