Wojciech Szczesny, Arsenal goalkeeper, could be facing a very heavy fine and or suspension for making the wanker gesture upon exiting the Gunners’ Champions League match. Szczesny received a red card after fouling Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben in the first half. Szczesny did not appreciate the call for taking down Robben in the box and exited while making a wanking motion.

Broadcasters Sky Sports apologized to their viewers for showing the “untoward gesture.” This isn’t the first time an Arsenal player has gotten in trouble for making an “untoward gesture” in football competition this season. You might remember this highly circulated photo on December 16th.
It’s surprising, as Jack Wilshere, a member of the England National Team should know better than to send the hand gesture equivalent of “f** you” and/or “go f** yourself” to the Etihad Stadium crowd. Szczesny should know better too. We’ll see what penalty, if any, that Szczesny faces from UEFA
