Arsenal FC youngster Reiss Nelson has been one of the major highlights of the club’s summer preseason tour. He took home a Man of the Match award during the tour in Sydney, Australia, bagged an assist against Benfica in the Emirates Cup triumph and drew extensive praise from manager Arsene Wenger, Gunners supporters and the world wide football media.

Nelson is considered one of the best young prospects around, and he’s spent much of the last two seasons being fast-tracked up the different age groups.
He got major time with the U23s last season, and it looks like he’s almost ready to be a part of the senior team. To get there, he could likely go out on loan and get the additional experience he needs. Former Gunners striker Perry Groves is urging Reiss to do so.
“He needs to move out on loan and get real game experience, not under-21 games,” Groves told bwin. “Jack Wilshere was a great example of this when he went to Bolton.
“I would like to see Reiss go somewhere that plays a similar style to Arsenal, such as MK Dons – who have a nice reputation of playing a good brand of football. He could play as a wide forward in a 4-3-3 or more centrally in a 3-4-2-1, but it needs to be a natural position for him and not a forced one.”
