It was one of those days on Arsenal fan Twitter today. The Premier League’s headliner fixture this weekend was far from interesting. The Sunday afternoon matinee was a total laugher as Liverpool routed Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield, getting goals from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino.
The Gunners looked disinterested and manager Arsene Wenger had no answers at all .
It led to Arsenal fans, a lot already disgruntled and malcontent from the retention of Wenger, getting loud and angry on social media. Wenger returned this season despite the club’s missing out on Champions League, and he entered 2017-18 with a whole lot to prove to his fan base.
This is the exact opposite of what they were looking for, and #WengerOut started trending on Twitter yet again. You certainly can’t blame them, it’s a really awful feeling when you have an ineffectual, unpopular leader in charge, but the current status quo keeps him in power.
It’s frustrating, and there’s little to nothing you can do about it; except protest and make your dissenting voice heard.
With that vented, here some of the more entertaining #WengerOut tweets today.
Arsenal fan tv is gonna be a fun watch today. #WengerOut
