Round 1
1. Andre Johnson
Notes: As I’ve reiterated in my QB and RB rankings, I typically like to get a RB in the first round. However, at the end of the first round in a PPR-league, I would have no problem taking Andre Johnson.
Late Round 1, 2
2. Miles Austin
3. Calvin Johnson
4. Randy Moss
5. Brandon Marshall
Notes: I’m a huge believer in Austin. He put up scary numbers in essentially only 12 games last season. Imagine what he can do with his first off-season as the starter, plus a full regular season……Marshall has put together three-straight seasons with at least 100 catches and 1,100 receiving yards. I think the trend continues in Miami….In a PPR-league, it is a very close call between Marshall and Calvin Johnson for number three, although I see Megatron having a truly breakout year this year. Both WRs look to be in the top-5 in TDs.
Late Round 2, 3
6. Roddy White
7. Reggie Wayne
8. Larry Fitzgerald
9. Greg Jennings
Notes: I see no reason to believe why Jennings can’t have a bounce-back season this year. His vertical receiving abilities are complimented perfectly with Rodgers’ cannon-arm.
Round 4
10. Anquan Boldin
11. Steve Smith (car)
12. DeSean Jackson
13. Sidney Rice
14. Marques Colston
Notes: If his hip injury shows improvement before Week 1 and Favre comes back, Rice could move up a round….In a PPR league, it’s hard to endorse DeSean Jackson. He doesn’t catch a ton of balls and he can be very inconsistent week-by-week….I’m not that high on Colston due to the fact that the Saints have so many weapons. Some games Colston will be a second-thought. That’s not what I want from my #2 WR.
Late Round 4, 5
15. Dwayne Bowe
16. Mike Sims-Walker
17. Wes Welker
18. Michael Crabtree
19. Steve Smith (nyg)
20. Chad Ochocinco
21. Pierre Garcon
22. Hakeem Nicks
Notes: When Bowe is on the field he produces more often than not. I think this is the year he puts it all together….Sims-Walker was awesome during the first-half last season, but injuries hampered him during the second-half. This is a guy no one is talking about but a very solid #2 WR…..I probably should be more concerned with Welker, considering he is coming off a serious knee injury. However, all reports have been positive during camp. Bump him up even more in PPR, as he is a reception-machine….Same thing goes for Steve Smith of the Giants.
Late Round 5, 6, 7
23. Hines Ward
24. Malcom Floyd
25. Santana Moss
26. Donald Driver
27. Percy Harvin
28. Mike Wallace
29. Terrell Owens
30. Steve Breaston
Notes: Ward is a guy who is always undervalued, yet he manages 1,000 yards and 7-8 TDs almost every year….Vincent Jackson isn’t stepping on the field for the Chargers any time soon, so it’s time to move Floyd up.
Round 8,9
31. Devin Aromashadu
32. Santanio Holmes
33. Jeremy Maclin
34. Johnny Knox
35. T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Notes: It’s tough to pinpoint which WR will end up with the most fantasy points in Chicago. However, the WR with the best physical abilities is by far Aromashadu. He has all the tools to be a #1 WR for the Bears.
Round 10,11,12
36. Devin Hester
37. Derrick Mason
38. Mohamed Massaquoi
39. Jacoby Jones
40. Austin Collie
41. Chris Chambers
Notes: I’m really starting to feel good about Massaquoi. Grab him late in drafts…..I would be more than willing to take a flier on Jacoby Jones this late. He has freakish abilities and it doesn’t hurt lining up alongside Andre Johnson…..I haven’t completely given up on Roy Williams yet. During the preseason, the Cowboys have looked his way often in the red-zone. Williams’ chance is now with Dez Bryant hurt.
