The next James Bond 007 movie doesn’t even have a title yet, but the internet apparently seems to know that Penelope Cruz will be the next Bond girl. She’ll be 40 when the movie is done, making Penelope Cruz the eldest Bond love interest of all time. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Cruz is in talks to join the ranks of:
Pussy Galore, Dr. Holly Goodhead and Christmas Jones.
And yes when “the World is Not Enough” brought us Denise Richards as Christmas Jones, a nuclear physicist assisting Bond in his mission it as EXTREMELY BELIEVABLE. Richards stated that she liked the role because it was “brainy”, “athletic”, and had “depth of character, in contrast to Bond girls from previous decades.”
And if there is one thing Denise Richards is KNOWN FOR, it’s brains and depth of character. I mean only deep intellectuals go for Charlie Sheen.
I’m guessing Penelope Cruz will do a much better job with this role than Richards did. Penelope Cruz is trending all over Twitter in Spain right now; and searches for Penelope Cruz are up exponentially right now. The husband of Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, played the villain Silva in “Skyfall.”
