PS - I would just like to correct you that we actually do not live is Ald. Tunney's ward (we're about 3 blocks out). We are in Ald. Shiller's ward, who from what I have seen & heard, is actually a more controversial figure in Chicago politics than Ald. Tunney. I've always wanted to live in Tunney's ward, but I'm not brave enough to live QUITE that close to Wrigley, even if it would meet the "keep your enemies closer" adage.

Comment on Look at the Numbers: Brett Favre is the Vikings’ Best Chance to Win by shaymus

One point that a person who strongly disagrees with me brought up is his high interception totals. Since I said "only 19 INTs" at one point, he tried to box me by saying it would have been towards the top of the league last year. My counter: You know that's what you're getting when you sign Brett Favre. Yeah, 17-19 INTs isn't horribly low, but it's to be expected. It isn't some atrociously high number like, say, 29. Hence the "only 19 INTs" part.

Also, another interesting stat: Favre is actually 19th among current projected starters in terms of Interception Percentage (the percentage of his passes that are intercepted) at 3.3%, which is actually lower than guys like Tony Romo and Ben Roethlisberger. It's the total NUMBER of passes he throws taht raises the interception number so high. It's not that he's ever thrown them at some stunningly high rate.

Melissa, I'm curious: As a Packer fan, are you for, against, or indifferent towards Favre being in Purple? (And this can actually be answered by anyone, but I figured I'd single out Melissa when posing the question).

Yeah I was gonna add that in, but it's definitely going to be a highlight of my Cardinals mid-season review.

They had all 4 of those names come back last season to sign autographs during a game to sign autographs, on the randy walker terrace. Although i think the person who truly wants Schnur's autograph?....should probably take a long, hard look at their life.

I did buy a replica Darnell Autry jersey off Ebay for $12 last fall though- it's tight

If I were Melvin I would give up Escobar or Gamel and a couple other players for Halladay... no way the Crew make the post-season with the pitching staff they have unless Parra throws like he did Thursday EVERY day and Bush suddenly becomes Jake Peavy...

And at least Halladay would be more than a three-month rental like Carsten Charles was...
