It’s that time of year when this site shifts more into pop culture, media and entertainment mode. What did you think I did when there was no football and basketball? No hockey and no NBA means the beginning of the way too early college football previews.
We’re previewing 32 college teams just like in the NFL. We’ll start with some South Florida Football.
South Florida football Good Stuff:
Make no mistake, the only reason, and I mean the only reason the USF Bulls are being previewed by this site is because Wisconsin scheduled a “guarantee game” with them. No offense USF fans and community, but it’s the truth. I want to see what Gary Andersen has to prepare for. Well, the Bulls do have really hot, and I mean scorching hot cheerleaders and dance teams; because they’re always featured in the annual college football preview magazines. Moving on to actual football talk, with the depth and experience on the Offensive Line, their offense should be better this year
South Florida football Bad News:
that offense ranked third from last in the entire nation last year. The defense only returns four starters and they gave up 28 points per game. You see why this program finished a woeful 2-10 last season. Pass rush will be an issue. The whole interior of the defense could struggle. Lindy’s ranks them 99th in the nation overall for a reason. I fully expect the Badgers to dominate them when they visit Madison and UW has to win that game by at least 38 to be respected.
South Florida football 2014 is a success if:
they can win four or more games, and at least flirt with the idea of finishing near .500. There is no chance of them being a factor in AAC.
South Florida football 2014 is a failure if:
they win 3 games or less.
South Florida football Key and Peele’s “East-West College Bowl”: RG Quinterrius Eatmon, RT Brynjar Gudmundsson, DE Elkino Watson, LB Tashon Whitehurst, TE Guito Ervilus, DT Deadrin Senat
