ESPN’s Samantha Ponder: on the job photos

p

If you are not yet familiar with ESPN college football sideline and college basketball reporter Samantha Ponder, you’re going to want to spend some quality time with this post. She became a hot search term and new media darling after working that exciting Friday night barnburner between Baylor and TCU to open the 2012 football season.

That’s right- she works on Friday nights, while you’re out getting smashed.

Update: Samantha Steele is now Samantha Ponder as she married Vikings QB Christian Ponder

She once worked through a concussion, suffered while showcasing her great ability to throw a football.

Now that she’s Samantha Ponder and not Samantha Steele, her name is a lot less James Bond girlish/porno sounding.

And as you can see from the pics below, Samantha Ponder got her sweet gig due to her journalistic chops and hard core work ethic. I’m sure it has nothing to do with her “photogenic” traits. Look Samantha Ponder and Erin Andrews. I’m surprised this pic didn’t break the internet.

Samantha Ponder is currently covering the 2013 Big Ten Tournament; because the Big Ten is the best conference in college basketball.

  1. wow !

  2. I’m sorry but the broad who replaces Erin Andrews just so happens to groupie too? This is too much of a coincidence. Imagine if a dude was running around banging the female athletes that he covered….he would be fired and run outta the profession.

    oh please. she’s a 10/10
