And the third domino falls for the drug scandal in Iowa Hawkeyes football. The Iowa college football program finished second, or should I say penultimate, in a criminal study by SI among the preseason top 25. Among those 25 teams, only the Pittsburgh Panthers had more arrests in their program than Iowa.
This criminal element within the program most visibly in the drug scandal that started with Derrell Johnson-Koulianos and his alleged drug house. Then star tailback Adam Robinson was busted for marijuana possession and thrown off the team.
And now this:
Georgia defensive end Justin Houston and Iowa defensive tackle Christian Ballard both failed drug tests for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine according to Fox Sports. There were the only two NFL draft prospects to fail the test. All the league teams learned of this information in February, but it was just released to the public yesterday.
Watch Ballard’s draft stock drop it like it’s hot.
