As you might or might not know, the California Golden Bears college football team is playing their 2011 home games across the bay at AT&T Park, home of MLB ‘s San Francisco Giants (Memorial Stadium is being renovated).
Tonight’s game between the 3-3 (0-3 in Pac 12) Golden Bears and the also 3-3 (0-3 in conference) Utah Utes drew former Cal soccer star Alex Morgan. The USWNT icon also ate some ice cream. (pic above)
Or “iced cream” as Mr. Burns would say.
So if the prospect of a Pac-12 team getting it’s first in conference win didn’t make this game more enticing, you could say the fact that it’s attended by one of the hottest and most accomplished female Cal athletes in all time does.
was the first California Golden Bears women’s soccer player to be drafted in the first round of Women’s Professional Soccer. Morgan, a Diamond Bar, California native is third all-time in goals scored (45) for the Golden Bears.
