If there’s a song for where the crystal ball and top ranked recruiting classes reside, it’s “Sweet Home Alabama.” University of Alabama’s Nick Saban announced today 18 players signing national letters of intent to play college football with the Crimson Tide, joining seven players who enrolled in January and will compete in spring practice later this semester.

As of 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Alabama Crimson Tide recruiting class ranked first nationally by 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals.com and MaxPreps. The Crimson Tide is ranked fourth in the Scout.com team rankings.

So it looks like the dynasty will continue. They’ve won 3 of the last 4 national titles.

Seven players – Cooper Bateman (QB), Leon Brown (OL), Raheem Falkins (WR), Derrick Henry (RB), Brandon Hill (OL), O.J. Howard (TE) and Parker McLeod (QB) – are already attending classes at the University. They all enrolled in January, began taking classes for the spring 2013 semester and will be able to participate in Alabama’s spring football practices. The other 18 players signed national letters of intent today. The Crimson Tide had eight players in enroll in the spring of 2012, nine in 2011, 11 in 2010 and four in 2009.
