Peanut Tillman re-signs, not resigns, with the Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears star CB Charles Peanut Tillman is returning for another season. He suffered a lingering knee injury in 2013; among a whole host of other problems. However, arguably the best corner in the history of Chicago Bears football is coming back.

And that’s a tweet from WFLD Bears reporter Dionne Miller. The Chicago Bears defense in 2013 was like Chick-Fil-A. They don’t do any work on Sundays. The D didn’t  stop anybody, and it hit historic levels of being bad. And there’s going to be a lot of re-working of that defense. So much overhaul, it’s good to keep some pieces in place. Chicago Bears star CB Charles Peanut Tillman was one of those key pieces you definitely want to retain.

Bears GM Phil Emery makes a statement on Peanut Tillman: “Charles is one of the NFL’s great players and a true leader on and off the field and we’re happy he will be staying in Chicago. He remains the best in our game at forcing turnovers and always has brought a tough, physical presence to our secondary. Charles also has a special connection to the people and community across Chicago and we’re excited for that to continue.”

  1. I am getting tired of hearing about a aging defense that some how last year was awesome. Mel tucker sucks and so does the new gm bring back movie smith cause at least we have a team capable of competing.
