Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler will be on a tv show about fantasy football when the quarterback guest stars in an upcoming episode this September. Jay Cutler flew to Los Angeles earlier this month to tape an episode of “The League,” a sitcom set in Chicago and the posh upscale suburb of Winnetka. Coincidentally, it’s the same town where Jay Cutler and wife Kristin Cavallari are renting a home.
So playing this role shouldn’t be that much of a thespian challenge.
Both Cutler and Cavallari star in the promotional video which has been airing on Fox Sports 1 during the first day of its launch.
Jay Cutler shows some congeniality and acting skills in his NFL merchandise ad with Roberto Garza. However, that’s a side we rarely ever see. The journalists and publicists I know that claim to know him best say he’s generally a good dude, and a nice guy. But that personality just doesn’t come across to fans and media in the way that Jay brands himself. 90% of the time he appears disinterested, surly, rude. Screaming an obscenity at a Soldier Field ball boy Thursday night didn’t help.
Here’s the link to the Jay Cutler promo video. I would have embedded it like a normal person. But the FX website is stuck in 2003 and doesn’t allow embeds like an actual media company website should. So you’ll have to go to their site to view the 15 second vid.
