Lamarr Houston, who just turned 27 last month is an upgrade over Julius Peppers, 34 on the Chicago Bears Defensive Line this season. Obviously, Peppers has had a more distinguished career than Houston probably ever will. However, this Lamarr Houston is an upgrade over this Julius Peppers. Last season, Pro Football Focus ranked Peppers 36th out of 54 qualifying 4-3 defensive ends.
He ranked 22nd rushing the passer and 44th against the rush. Also, he does a great impersonation of Batman villain Bane (as you’ll see in this video)
Also, Lamarr Houston has some interesting and unorthodox training techniques.
Here is a pulling a skateboarder in an offseason workout:
And a run on a high jump mat…(yeah, I know this isn’t even close to being considered news, but you people can’t get enough Bears content, and this is July, there is no Bears or NFL talk to be had so nonsense like this will have to do)
And Lamarr Houston talks about playing with Jared Allen
