Happy Draft Day everyone! It’s the Christmas of the offseason for NFL fans everywhere. We’ve done our Chicago Bears NFL Draft mocksourcing already which you can check out here. Almost everybody has published their final NFL mock draft by this point and and you can check our offering here.
Bear in mind (pun intended) that we had a more accurate mock draft, with more picks correct than both Mike Mayock and Mel Kiper Jr. last year.
Mayock, in his one and only NFL mock draft, slotted Florida CB Vernon Hargreaves III to the Chicago Bears. The NFL Network’s NFL Mock Draft Live program went the exact same rout, with Analyst Bucky Brooks pulling the trigger on the Bears pick. The SportsCenter Special, NFL Nation Mock Live, went with Shaq Lawson from Clemson.
We had an exclusive with former Chicago Bears Wide receiver Curtis Conway at the NFL Network’s NFL Draft Media Luncheon yesterday. Curtis Conway, along with Erik Kramer and Jeff Graham, helped usher the Chicago Bears franchise into the modern era of the National Football League. Those Bears teams were the first to bring the Monsters of the Midway into the Brave New World we now know that is the ridiculously pass happy NFL.
The audio of our conversation is below, as Curtis Conway explains his Chicago Bears mock pick rationale as well as his top five:
You can view Curtis Conway’s full round one NFL mock draft here. Enjoy the draft Chicago Bears fans. Just like Conway said last year, Foxy’s gonna go heavy defense, let him go heavy defense.
