Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall definitely has some adversity in life. And I mean actual adversity, not the “adversity” cliche garbage you hear sportscasters and athletes talk about.
However, money is definitely not something B Marsh needs to worry about. He cracked the top 100 list of Forbes’ most well compensated athletes. Brandon Marshall is the world’s 97th highest paid jock.
Forbes estimated his total earnings last year as $17.5 million dollars (see full list here).
Ex Bears and current Green Bay Packers DE Julius Peppers checks in at #69 with earnings of $20.8 million. Aaron Rodgers is #55 and Matthew Stafford is #18 to round out the NFC Central representation. The highest paid NFL player is Falcons QB Matt Ryan at #10. The Chicago athlete who made the most money last year is Derrick Rose, who checked in at #13.
And of course, Jay Cutler will no doubt join Brandon Marshall on this list next year, as Cutty Does It will be the highest paid player in the NFL this season at over 22 million dollars.
