It appears that the The Express are reporting that Liverpool have opened contract talks with their young star striker, Raheem Sterling. So it appears that the interest from Real Madrid has really influenced The Reds to get moving on getting this deal done. The 19 year old can expect to quadruple his salary as LFC plan a new contract offer to the England winger.
You can add Chelsea to the mix. Yes, the Blues are interested.
Now The Express are floating a major new twist to the tale with news that Raheem Sterling may be headed to Stamford Bridge to join forces with Jose Mourinho.
Other publications say that Anfield is looking to give him a big increase on his current £30,000-a-week deal. This is of course to fight off the overtures from Los Blancos. Raheem Sterling had a fantastic season with Liverpool last year, and his preseason was excellent as well. It’s obvious to see why the future is bright for him and why bigger things are expected for him not just this season but also going forward.
They need him to be a big star. With Luis Suarez gone and Daniel Sturridge hurt, Liverpool us lacking in scoring and they need to find it somewhere. Mario Balotelli will help, but he can’t do it all himself.
