With a good win against Hull City before the international break, Chelsea FC Manager Antonio Conte will be looking to keep the form going. With the players coming back from their international teams, they will have to reset and get back into the rhythm of the EPL season. Knowing this, Conte has been experimenting with players, in the hope of getting the perfect combination ahead of this upcoming game. This means, the game against Leicester City will not only be a test for the players, but for the manager, Conte, as well.
(Editor’s Note: the following Chelsea FC starting XI prediction is by Caleb Thompson)
With John Terry back from his ankle injury, he is tipped to start in the lineup. Terry was predicted to start in the game against Hull City, but had to pull out at the last minute due to fitness concerns. So, with Terry back in the lineup, that therefore means that Gary Cahill will most likely be the one to give way, with David Luiz likely to retain his spot in the side after a number of good performances.
Game Prediction: 2-1 Chelsea win
So without further ado, here is The Sport’s Bank starting XI vs Hull City:
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
Defenders: Cesar Azpilicueta (CB), David Luiz (CB), John Terry (CB)
Midfielders: Marcos Alonso (LM), N’Golo Kante (CM), Oscar (CM), Victor Moses (CM)
Forwards: Eden Hazard (LW), Diego Costa (ST), Willian (RW)
There are a few player present on the team sheet that could easily be swapped with another player. Oscar and Nemanja Matic could easily be swapped as well as a couple of others in the lineup. But these are the players that I personally think will start against Leicester City.
