Team president Ernie Grunfeld called this the second year of a three-year plan for the Washington Wizards franchise. After finishing with the second worst record in the NBA, there will need to be some accelerated growth next season if the team is going to reach the desired destination of said plan. Having another high draft pick and adding some veteran pieces this off-season would certainly help.

Charlotte Bobcats face long road ahead
The Sports Bank‘s NBA Off-season team needs pages begins at the bottom. The Charlotte Bobcats gave new definition to the word “bottom” this past season by finishing with the worst win percentage in NBA history. Michael Jordan faces a long road ahead to get the Bobcats out of the gutter and there certainly isn’t a quick fix in the near future. (At least MJ has a hot fiancee to look at. Speaking of hot, the smoking Bobcat dancer above is Brittany Kerr who auditioned for American Idol this past year. Check out more pics of her.)

Michigan St. Legend, NBA Prospect Draymond Green: exclusive part 3 of 3
There’s already been a movement to have Draymond Green‘s number retired at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan. That’s how much he meant to the Michigan State Spartans and Big Ten college basketball. He’s also an NBA draft prospect, potentially in the first round. The Sports Bank’s Ngozi Ekeledo had a very detailed exclusive with Green, discussing his past, present and future.

Minnesota Timberwolves “luck” might be turning around?
I know the last few years have been down-right dreadful for fans of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Our last few draft picks (Wes Johnson and Derrick Williams) haven’t panned-out, so far or yet. But, Ricky Rubio brought a spark this season before his ACL injury. He lit-up Target Center with his maestro passing skills and non-matador-esque defensive ability that most of his teammates (Michael Beasley) have shown the past few years. He might just be the beginning of a Minnesota-turnaround, though.
