2012 NBA Trade Deadline: Bucks-Warriors trade benefits both teams

With the NBA trade deadline approaching Thursday afternoon, the first domino has fallen in what has been a very quiet and uneventful week thus far. Rumors were swirling about the Orlando Magic trying to acquire Monta Ellis in hopes of pairing him up with Dwight Howard. Instead the Golden State Warriors have traded Ellis to the Milwaukee Bucks in a five-player deal that will send Andrew Bogut to the Bay.

Here is a list of the five players I think will be dealt in the next week-plus and which teams might be interested in acquiring said player. (I didn’t include Dwight Howard on this list because I don’t think the Orlando Magic pull the trigger on a deal.)

NBA Trade Deadline: Possible suitors for the Timberwolves’ Michael Beasley

Plenty of names will be floated around in the next week-plus as the NBA trade deadline approaches on March 15th. Over the next week, I am going to take a look at which players are likely to be dealt and what teams might be interested in acquiring said player. Michael Beasley‘s name has been on the trade block since the Minnesota Timberwolves used the second overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft on Derrick Williams. With the T-Wolves signing Kevin Love to a max deal extension, it’s almost certain Beasley will be traded since he doesn’t seem to be part of Minnesota’s long-term plan.
