Tottenham Hotspur and England attacking midfielder Dele Alli suffered a thigh problem in England’s 2-1 win over Tunisia on Monday. The severity of the injury isn’t clear, but several reports indicate that Alli is a doubt for Sunday’s World Cup group stage clash against Panama.

The Evening Standard went so far as to say that Alli’s entire tournament is now in serious jeopardy, but other media outlets convey a much more optimistic outlook.

Report: Tottenham Reach £30m Agreement with Chinese Club for Mousa Dembele

Next season, Mousa Dembele could be plying his trade very far away from Tottenham Hotspur. According to two French outlets, RMC Sport and France Football, the north London club has “an agreement in principle” to send the Belgian international to an as of now still unnamed Chinese club.

Reportedly, the agreed upon fee is £30 million (34 million Euro, $40 million) for “Moose.”

Tottenham, Southampton Reportedly Targeting Xherdan Shaqiri

Xherdan Shaqiri, Stoke City’s top scorer last season, has officially confirmed that he’ll be leaving the now relegated Potters this summer. In an interview with Swiss outlet Aargauer Zeitung, the stellar winger made it known that will not be playing football in England’s second-tier next year.

Mauricio Pochettino Reportedly No Longer a Real Madrid Target

Real Madrid have reportedly ended their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who had been their primary target to replace Zinedine Zidane. It’s probably for the best, as it never looked very likely to begin with. Sky Sports Guillem Balague, one of the world’s foremost reporters on football transfers, especially so concerning teams in Spain, reports that Madrid have now dropped the idea of landing the Argentine.

“Real could see there was so many positives in signing him, not just the fact he can deal with the stars but how he improves players and how he works with youth players as well,” said Balague on Sky News.
