Chicago Bulls GM Gar Forman just landed one of the biggest NBA free agents of the entire summer in Dwyane Wade. However, the fan base wasn’t happy about it to say the least. There was a huge social media backlash against the move Wednesday night. Fans weren’t thrilled about the Rajon Rondo signing on Fourth of July either.
Are the Bulls actually picking a lane here? Do they have a direction? Is it “a retooling” like Gar Forman always says, and not “a rebuild?
Forman, and other Bulls brass say they want to get younger and more athletic, and this is definitely not younger and more athletic.
There’s a lot to be said about the new plan, and the potential direction it’s going. Hey, that’s what the comments section here is for.
Forman met the media today and he used the phrase “the plan” several times. If you watched the ABC series “Lost,” you might remember the iconic line uttered by the series’ most intriguing character, Ben Linus.
“HOW many times do I have to tell you John? I ALWAYS have a PLAN!”
Part of Gar Forman’s plan is to avoid ever falling into the deep lottery, being a team that’s consistently in the late lottery, and definitely does not want to get stuck in the middle.
I wouldn’t want to get stuck in the middle either. There’s clowns to left down there, jokers to the right.
Anyway, have a listen to the Gar Forman Q&A below and then voice your own opinions on the Bulls “the plan” in the comments section. Hey, everyone else has.
