I often notice a lot of search engine queries for “Charissa Thompson married” in this website’s stats. Well, there is no Charissa Thompson husband, but there is a Charissa Thompson boyfriend. And the 2013 Charissa Thompson boyfriend is…..former Duke Blue Devils star and Chicago Bulls bust Jay Williams, some know him as Jayson Williams.
I met Charissa Thompson once, at the 2010 Big Ten Tournament media party. She was really nice (seemingly to a phony level, most sideline princesses are over-the-top nice when you meet them in person and it doesn’t often seem very genuine) and I asked her to do an interview for my website, she agreed. And then passed me on to some publicist/agent who totally blew me off. The interview never happened and neither did Thompson’s wedding? marriage? to her fiance that she brought to the media party. He was a European, long haired, metrosexual, male model type. I guess it didn’t work out since she’s seeing Williams now.
But the juxtaposition of seeing a model like Charissa Thompson at a party with all the troll looking like figures who cover the league on a regular basis made for lots of unintentional comedy.

Though nobody at ESPN would confirm whether or not these two were dating – the network wouldn’t when Michelle Beadle was dating then-hockey analyst Matthew Barnaby in 2011, either – two media sources who were at the Super Bowl confirmed Thompson and Williams have been together for several months.
Of course, ESPN wouldn’t confirm or deny- media doesn’t report on itself, and Bristol is more secretive than most. Williams was the #2 overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, and his career was cut short by a motorcycle accident. The injuries kept him from living up to this potential. He is a rising analyst at ESPN though and doing pretty well for himself.
