With the Chicago Cubs it’s always “wait till next year.” And just last week during his annual end of the season “state of the cubs” press conference Theo Epstein threw down the gauntlet to his own organization saying that 2015 is next year. Theo, the smartest man in the room, regardless of whatever room that is, pretty much said the Chicago Cubs will be competitive/contenders next year.
And that all begins with the 2015 Spring Training schedule. It commences Thursday, March 5. The club announced their 29-game Cactus League schedule today; with more games expected to be announced later.
The Chicago Cubs begin their 2015 spring training schedule on March 5 with a home game against the Oakland Athletics at Cubs Park and a road game against the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale. The Cubs and White Sox play twice next spring – Friday, March 20 in Glendale and Friday, March 27 in Mesa.
