Several iconic figures in Arsenal Football Club history, who had all gone on to become Arsene Wenger proteges, have recently left the club. Thierry Henry might be the most high profile of the group.
Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta also left, to join Manchester City, with the former then moving on to New York City FC, who are share the same ownership group as Man City. With the case of the former midfielder Mikel Arteta, it appears the divorce was quite bitter.
Arteta, a former team captain, did a whole purge of everything Gunners off his Instagram account.

“It’s understandable that Arteta would want to start fresh after moving into a new chapter of his life, but man. Did you have to go full “new year, new me” on us Mik? Next thing you know, he’ll be posting caps-heavy pseudo-motivational pictures every day, shading Arsene Wenger and his former club.”
