Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema won’t be making headlines as the big splash signing for Arsenal this summer. Gunners Manager Arsene Wenger was asked about Benzema coming to London.
“No. Honestly no,” Wenger said.
Well, then. The short, but sweet answer concisely supplements what Real boss Rafa Benitez insisted on July 25th regarding Benzema:
“I’m sure he will stay with us.”
And on top of that, Benzema’s agent Karim Djaziri really drove home the point that there is absolutely no chance Benzema will be leaving the Bernabeu this summer.
Djaziri told Sky Sports: “Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent.
“Karim is not looking to move anywhere this summer.”
Benzema may not be moving this summer but he does have a giant $250,000 soccer ball made of diamonds.
Benzema hooked up with celebrity jewelers Dave Bling and Will Da Boss of DWS Jewerly and Co. — who tell us Karim wanted a show piece for a new home, so they just whipped up a little 1,250 carat, life-sized soccer ball!
The ball features 72,000 colored diamonds, and Bling says the piece will be “a definite conversation starter when company arrives” at the Real Madrid superstar’s crib.
