Arsene Wenger has warned Arsenal fans that they will have to wait until after the World Cup before any transfer business is conducted this summer. Gunners supporters didn’t have much to talk about during the January transfer window and only the £42.5 million Mesut Ozil signing was a big name and big news.
A month after the Gunners signed a deal with betting giant Bodog, they were able to get Ozil. Real Madrid let Mesut Ozil leave on the deadline day of transfers, September 2, 2013. Madrid’s loss was Arsenal’s gain. Wenger claims that July, after the World Cup is when we’ll see some serious transfer activity.
“There is no time between the end of the season and the start of the World Cup. Nobody will do anything before the World Cup starts.”
