Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Winning Trophies at MUFC: “This is why I came”

When Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United, he envisioned himself and his teammates winning trophies at Old Trafford. In addition to that claim, Ibrahimovic says that winning trophies gets better with age.

On Sunday, Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho became the first United boss ever to win a trophy during his season on the job. The Red Devils triumphed 3-2 over Southampton at Wembley Stadium in London, getting two goals, including the game winner from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Man United Wonderkid, Barca Target Angel Gomes Featured in Skills Compilation Video

One of the highest rated prospects in the Manchester United youth system is 16 year old Angel Gomes, who, according to Goal, is wanted by Barcelona. Gomes has been scoring, assisting overall putting in elite performances on a consistent basis all season long.

Angel Gomes is featured in this new skill compilation video alongside players such as Newcastle’s Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, Arsenal’s Omari Hutchinson and Crystal Palace’s Jordan Norman-Williams.

Purdue Basketball Claims B1G Best 23rd League Title By Decisively Beating Indiana Hoosiers

If you are a Purdue basketball fan, you couldn’t have drawn this up any better. This was a dream scenario all around. You witnessed the Boilermakers clinching at least a share of their Big Ten best 23rd conference title by beating their most hated of rivals, the Indiana Hoosiers, and doing so in convincing fashion, 86-75.

It also happened on Senior Night, making the victory all the more sweeter. Indiana hasn’t visited Mackey Arena in awhile, so the sold-out venue on John Wooden Drive was absolutely electric tonight. February 28th, 2017 added another chapter to the long illustrious book of Crossroads of America El Clasico.

Deron Williams Officially Joins Cavaliers; NBA Pundits and Legends React

What a week for Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams. First he’s inducted into the inaugural class of the University of Illinois athletics Hall of Fame. The next day he moves from a team going absolutely nowhere to a leading NBA title contender.

Gary Neville Says Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now on par with Eric Cantona

This past summer, one of the biggest legends in Manchester United history gave a message for a man who could become a legend at Old Trafford in his own right. Eric Cantona sent his official welcome to Zlatan Ibrahimovic on July 11th, letting Ibra know that he is still “King of Manchester” but that the Swede could be “the Prince” if he so chooses.

A little over a week later the mercurial Swede made his response and it was glorious.

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is tried and true bonafide winner. Everywhere that he’s gone, he’s meant business and he’s simply gotten it done. The mercurial Swede has said he envisioned success with the Red Devils, and this is just the start. He also said that winning trophies is something that gets better with time; like a fine wine!

Before coming to Old Trafford, he’s done his part to help him team capture trophies at Ajax, Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter and Paris Saint-Germain.

Losing to Leicester City, a team in danger of relegation, still reeling from the recent sacking of their manager, is such a Liverpool thing to do. Liverpool were obviously heavy favorites heading into their 3-1 loss to Leicester; a defeat that was even more lopsided than it sounds.

Manolo Gabbiadini Proves Worth as Southampton Janury Addition with Strong EFL Cup

Manchester United went up 2-0 on Southampton FC in the EFL Cup final at Wembley Stadium Sunday, but that advantage was quickly erased as Southampton has drew level by getting two braces from forward Manolo Gabbiadini.

They should have had a third from Gabbiadini, but were instead essentially robbed due to a very controversial call. The disallowed Gabbiadini goal (which would have given him a hat trick) was a major talking point from the League Cup final, as had the call stood it would have changed the entire complexion of the game.

Then, in this alternate outcome, everyone is hailing Manolo Gabbiadini as the man of the match, with the MVP performance instead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

B1G Hoops El Clasico: Indiana Hoosiers vs Purdue Boilermakers

While there is no rivalry in B1G basketball as high stakes and as passionate as El Clasico, the Purdue Boilermakers and Indiana Hoosiers bloodfeud can come close at times. The two teams quite often have not just regional relevance, but national. In a given year, we often see one of the two teams influencing the NCAA Championship odds here as February turns to March. The NCAA Tournament is so close now that you can almost taste it.

Jose Mourinho on Zlatan Ibrahimovic League Cup Performance: “He Won the Game for Us”

Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho became the first United boss ever to win a trophy during his season on the job. The Red Devils triumphed 3-2 over Southampton at Wembley Stadium in London tonight, getting two goals, including the game winner, from striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic and Mourinho have won silverware everywhere that they have gone together. Today the trend continued and Mourinho hailed Ibra as the MVP during his postgame interview with Sky Sports.

Liverpool FC Injury Report Against Leicester City

After a two-week break, Liverpool returns to action on Monday at King Power Stadium against Leicester City on Monday. The Reds haven’t played since Feb. 11, when they defeated Spurs 2-0. During the lay-off, Jurgen Klopp took the team to La Manga in Spain.

Coming into the match with the Foxes, Liverpool should be close to full strength.
