Wenger amazingly optimistic on Arsenal’s Champions League chances

It doesn’t appear that Arsenal is any better this season than they were last season. Nothing about the Gunners results thus far, either domestically or in Europe, convey a sense of significant improvement. Manager Arsene Wenger needs to answer for that. He stood by his decision to start reserve goalkeeper David Ospina at home versus Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League yesterday, despite the result being a 3-2 defeat.

Jose Mourinho finds latest Chelsea setback “ridiculous”

Summary of Derrick Rose remarks on pending sexual assault case

Chicago Bulls GM Gar Forman took to the podium first at the team’s Media Day which kicked off the 2015-16 season. The first eight questions Forman received all related to the lawsuit against Derrick Rose. Forman didn’t say much other than his belief that Rose won’t miss any playing time due to any legal proceedings. He also reiterated that the Bulls organization fully supports Rose.

An ex-girlfriend of Rose is alleging that he and his friends gang-raped her in 2013.

Rose initially issued a public statement when news of the civil suit broke last month, but today was the first time he has commented publicly since then.

Chicago Bulls fans don’t need to worry too much about the sexual assault allegations against Derrick Rose. The star point guard is very confident in his inevitable exoneration. This won’t be a distraction to him and his teammates. Rose isn’t worried about this at all.  He’s already looking ahead to other things, like his free agency; in 2017.

Yes, Rose isn’t looking ahead to July 1, 2016, 11 months from now. He’s looking ahead to July 1, 2017, 23 months from now. That’s when he may have a chance to hit the open market.

Dr. Dre receives signed Man United shirt as 50th birthday gift

The lyrics of Dr. Dre have something in common with the transfer spending on Manchester United Executive Vice President Ed Woodward.

“Spend a mil no sweat, water my lawn with Moet,” Dr. Dre told us in 1990s hit “Been There, Done That.”

Dre then added “hella swiss or mozzarella, pockets swella, getting money like a bank teller.” It’s an adequate description of the money United has been throwing around in the transfer market lately. Today we found that Dre is the latest in a long line of Red Devils supporters.

Manchester United are back in first place. It’s the first time this has happened since Louis van Gaal has been in charge. However, the Red Devils are not the favorites to claim the trophy when the season is over. At least, not in the eyes of one prominent sports book.
